With the release of Sex and the City 2, the film industry may well have had another big pay day and the film critics no doubt had a lot to write about. The sort of things they wrote however will require another story entirely as they have not all been positive. The film was of course, only a vehicle for those 4 girls to strut their stuff one last time anyway, and why not! Since ‘Sex in the City’s’ installation on our viewing devices, Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte have been dedicated fashion icons around the globe. On screen and off screen their wardrobes, hair, lifestyles and makeup have all been scrutinised down to the last layer of foundation.
So what did they bring to London? Well…
Carrie Bradshaw a.k.a. Sarah Jessica Parker a.k.a. ‘SJP’, wore a black Alexander McQueen gown to the premier in London, with a matching black armband to mark his tragic death, and a huge dramatic Phillip Treacy hat, leaving her hair to do its own thing down her back. Carrie’s biggest asset is most definitely her lips and with a lip gloss like ‘Rimmel Volume Booster Lip Gloss’ she could keep up her high street fashion look on a budget and you could try it too. Who knows she may even have been wearing her fabulous perfume Sarah Jessica Parker Covet!!
Samantha Jones a.k.a. Kim Cattrall a.k.a. ‘The Cougar’, wore a vintage Mugler gown and her hair in a curled bob. Samantha Jones bared plenty of skin in this outfit, but not as much as she has born in the series and films over the years. To keep her skin looking radiant (even at the age of 53!) and to get yours looking equally full of life try ‘RoC Hydra+ Bio Active Moisturising Cream’.
Miranda Hobbes a.k.a. Cynthia Nixon, wore her famous fiery red hair in long highlighted loose curls which were perfectly accented by the sea blue of her figure hugging dress. Aside from her red hair, Miranda’s pale skin is often the feature she is most recognised for. To keep her complexion from looking washed out she may well have used a liquid blush, or alternatively ‘Rimmel Mono Blusher Pink Rose’.
Charlotte York a.k.a. Kristin Davis, wore a glittering gold vintage classic, ideal for the red carpet. To keep her skin looking princess white, despite Samantha’s antics, Charlotte would have no trouble hiding her red face using something like ‘Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation Ivory’.
What they brought to London was their own special choices in designer outfits, each of their individual style personalities and some great makeup suggestions. Make your own ultra glamour look with the great range of Rimmel Cosmetics at Semichem.
